Kristen Anderson
Kristen Anderson is the founder and Senior Agronomist at Farmer’s Resource Co., where she oversees the Agronomy and Farm Business Development departments. She has spent the last seven years working with Citrus and Tree Nut clients, where she has helped growers maximize yields and profits with the latest knowledge in agricultural science.
As the fourth generation of her family in agriculture, Kristen knows and understands the challenges continually faced by growers. In her work at Farmer’s Resource Co., she not only advises clients on agronomy but collaborates with them to achieve whole-farm solutions to improve the management of their entire operation.
Kristen is always expanding her knowledge base and is a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) as well as a Certified Crop Advisor. Additionally, her California Pest Control Advisor (PCA) license allows her to create complete crop and pest management plans with her clients. She continually brings new techniques and information to clients, whether through participating in field studies, the latest research, or attending events and conferences like the World Biostiumulant Conference and UC Davis Weed Science School.
When she’s not in the fields, Kristen can be found salmon fishing on the California coast or hiking. She also enjoys travelling and spending time with her close-knit family. Kristen attended California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where she received her B.S. in Environmental Horticultural Science with emphasis in Plant Protection Science and a Minor in Agricultural Business.
Erin
Erin’s career began in the trucking and clerical fields working as an Office Manager. She is currently the Operations Assistant at Farmers Resource Co. She spent her early years on a small acreage in Clovis, where her family grew fruit and nut trees. She also cared for chickens, rabbits, sheep and a (pet) turkey. She knows first hand how hard farmers work every day to ensure their products get to market. Erin loves the ‘next-door neighbor’ feeling of the office, and welcomes you in any time to chat. Ask her about the softball life and her tennis slice, which she developed as a long-time competitive tennis player. She takes pride in being part of the Farmers Resource Co. team, always making sure that projects finish on time and in good order.
Tim
Tim’s passion for agronomy goes back to when his grandfather started farming in Kerman. As an Agronomist for Farmers Resource Co., his education compliments his work experience caring for fruits and nuts on the family farm. A recent Graduate of the University of California, Fresno, he majored in Plant Science – Crop Production. After graduation, he obtained his Pest Control Advisor Licence (PCA). He enjoys diagnosing crop health, learning about new varieties and identifying rare diseases and insects. After work, Tim can be found hunting, fishing, or taking in the peaceful views from the top of a mountain.
Karen
Karen is a veteran farmer. As third generation farmers, she and her husband have been farming together for over 35 years. She has spent time working on the ranches and in the packing house and office. Karen is a goal-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager. As part of the Farmers Resource Co. team, she is always ready to take on a new challenge. Karen loves to learn and has a Degree in Teaching with a Minor in Business from CSU Fresno. In her free time, Karen enjoys hiking with her husband and two dogs and spending time with their family. She also loves to cook, garden and refinish furniture.
